4:20, my favorite time of day.
How many speakers, & how big are they (10s, 12s, 15s)?
I would use finger jointed pine. It's inexpensive, easy to cut, and can be painted or covered with Tolex.
Birch plywood. Maybe pricey, but it will be beautiful uncovered & finished w/lacquer.

Just make sure you use thick enough wood to make the cabinet non-resonant.
Too much math to make a resonant cab sound tight, IMHO.
Imagination is the key to my lyrics. The rest is painted with a little science fiction.

3/4" Baltic birch ply; you don't want resonance in a bass cab.
