Anyone Here Ever See Kings X Live?

Saw them for the first time last night.

    I'm in shock.

And I wasn't on acid either.

No, seriously. I'm blown away. I'm reeling this morning. Are they really as good as I think they were??

I'm shaking my head at what seems to be drumming as good as anything I've ever seen before. And that includes Cobham, Appice, Dunbar, and Pocaro.

    Jerry Gaskill is HUGE!!!!!

How could drumming GET any better than what I witnessed last night?

Please, somebody hand me a compass, stake down one corner for me, I'm spiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiining.

DOC I DID ABOUT 10 YRS AGO THE GRETCHEN GOES TO NEBRASKA CD THESE GUYS ALL WERE OUTSTANDING I LOVED TYTABORS TONE

BACK THEN WHEN I SEEN HIS RIG HE WAS USING A OLD 74 LABSERIES AMP HEAD WITH EQ KNOBS ON IT AND THE MATCHING 4X12 CABINETS HE HAD A GOOD SIZED MIDI RACK MOUNT RIG .....NOT ALOT OF EFFECTS BUT HE HAD A VERY FLUID DISTORTED TONE FROM THE OLD AMP .....IT WAS A THICK TONE VERY DEEP BEST WAY I CAN DESCRIBE IT IS SMOOTH BUT THICK DEEP OVERTONES .....ITS HIS OWN SOUND ......

    WHA A GREAT TONE
THESE GUYS WERE SO POWERFUL IT WAS ONE OF A KIND
THEY EVEN PLAYED MANIC DEPRESSION THEIR WAY IT ROCKED
THA SINGER BASSIST WAS SO PROFOUNDLY POWERFUL VOCALLY

Seen 'em. [A few times, years ago]

Met 'em. Nicest guys in the world.

You weren't dreaming. They are great and any drummer who can do a great job on a basic small kit like Jerry Gaskill gets my utmost respect.

Can Ty solo for days or what?

Does Doug have an incredibly soulful voice or what?

Can they harmonize like angels? Oh yeah!

I saw them in 86 in Green Bay WI. Great show.
A really old ballroom was packed - I think dust and paint chips were falling from the ceiling into the mosh pit. Sound was thick as a wall. I remember the guitars and drums sounding thick and chunky. Ah..... college days.
    Carry On!

I saw them a couple years ago. They played for 3+ hours, and only stopped because the club had to close! They were awesome!
