Ha ha you're funny! You almost got me but I realized at the last moment that this must be a trick question!

The correct answer is none. When talking about Fender acoustics, one usually talks about which one is least worst.

Just joking around. I think you have to go play a few to make that decision.

This is a good question. My parents won't let me spend more than $99.00 at GC for one of the Fender G10's. I played one, and it's as good as any Martin or Taylor guitar. Really. Think of all the money I'll save.

    A Taylor 300-series.

Seriously, Fender makes cool electrics, but their acoustics are really so-so. The Telecoustics and Stratacoustics are *jokes*.

I figure a Taylor is in the Fender spirit anyway, because of the bolt-necks! ;)

You are all sooooo wrong, guys!

Here is what a nearly 40 year old acoustic guitar looks like (and sounds oh sooo great)

not to mention the fantastic neck (I guess it's a Strat neck they put on)

This guitar was built (letter from Fender) in 1963 and I bought it new in 1967 in Germany. Never parted with it. Parted with 100's of other guitars though. Just take a close look:

Rockman, i think i've found one...

it basically look like yours, but not a spruce top, instead, mahogany back and side, and the pickguard is tortorise shell colour. Of course, it had that strat headstock to it as well, and that's what gives the guitar 'vibe'!!

i think the model is called Fender Newporter

the store is asking $249. Condition of the guitar is used, but still looked very good. do u think it's a fair price for an old fender acoustic?

    Go for it

    H,
if the guitar is structurially sound and not too much marked by it's age, I would go for it in an instance.
I know many people that don't like these old Fenders (made by H. Rossmeisl of Germany, who headed that branch of Fender in Fullerton at the time) but the folks that own one (Dave Davies of the Kinks) wouldn't part with theirs!

Good luck and send a picture, if you could!
