    Bragging about my kid again.

It's been two years since my daughter lost interest in music, but I just listened to this old song of her doing vocals. She was 14 at the time.

Maybe someday, she will pick it up again.

A kid in Toronto did all the music and I just layered her voice over it and tried to make it sound like it was supposed to be there.

I did the music and backup vocals on this one.

You've mentioned this before, but what I don't understand is how a teenage kid loses interest in music. I don't remember this ever happening before.

It's a lot of work recording. Not just sing along with your favorite tune. Takes, re-takes, redos. All that just made it no fun for her.

It's not really the aspect I like much either, but I get jazzed about the final product. After the first few tunes, it became like work to her and she just lost interest.

I've used her for backup on a few tunes, but nothing that will take up much of her time.

Plus, I just can't do covers anymore. I don't have the time or energy to figure out how to play some of the tunes she wants to do, and she won't do the tunes I want to do.
