    strat blues tone

I recorded a couple of blues songs with my mex strat, my '66 strat, and a cheapo peavey studio pro solid state amp

"2 blue for you" the fills were the mex strat (with a slight bit too much overdrive), the main solo is my '66 strat.

"coffee" is my '66 strat all the way.....who says a strat doesn't sound as good as a gibson on slide guitar...it sounds every bit as good as my SG

Sounds great. Great job on that.

I also have a Fat-O-Caster switch in my Strat that gives me some pretty gritty blues tones. Chuckocaster has one also.

I was thinking of getting a Gibson for just that, but my Strat can do all of what I need for HB sounds, and the rest, I don't need.

But stock, I think you can play blues on a Strat, no problem.
