    TFF NorCal Jam

I am in the process of making contacts and setting it up. I need to know how many potential people will be there so I can get a large enough room.

Email me as soon as possible with your intent.

It will be in the sacramento area or in the foothills area (Grassvalley/Auburn).

I have a really cozy comfortable place in Auburn in mind. But it is kinda small. So let me know as soon as possible.

4:20, my favorite time of day.

I'll fly in if Sacblues and AnnieD decide to go. And, damn, I can't remember his name from San Francisco, Rusty Sterling? I think that's it!

    Wow, that's dedication...
Like I said in my e-mail. Don't plan it with me in mind. When the date rolls around and if I'm not in too much pain, I'll be there.

    When? Where?

The VibroCounts acted as host band for two of those organized by SacBlues... If it's a free day, count me in (& maybe more of us, too).

I'll be there, if the date is right.

Rusty Sterling broke his arm, so he's off the bass for a few months.

Holy Crap! That sucks. I was going to do some new photos of his band while I was out there.

Where's The Little Shredlet? Has he not been by?

If it's in January I could stop by and be the "Drunken Heckler" times are tight for the next couple of months.

Much as I adore Scott's bass-playing, Cliff would be nice to have around.

If it's Jan 8-18, I can't make it (Delbert Cruise). Otherwise, I suspect I can and I might have some other folks who'll join the fun.

I will probably have moved to Phoenix by January (we're outta here once our house sells, which should be pretty quick given the hot real estate market here), so no more NorCal Jams for me.

Mark, you'll do a great job as organizer.

TB, you'll have to visit Phoenix when I organize a jam there.

Have fun, guys, and play Born In Chicago for me!

grito, do you have a sense for the number of TFF'ers living there? I have no idea, but we can try to put something together for February-March. We should be there by then, and we might even get some snowbirds to come down just to get away from the lousy weather in, say, Connecticut.

    (are you listening, TB?)

I think it will be you and me, although I can do a mean one-man-band impression!

I got a couple of "sounds good" and a couple "if I'm not busy". I need a little more feed back.

Also I have a couple clubs in mind. Is anyone against a beer and wine bar? I can get a full bar also, or maybe a private room somewhere.

Saturdays (through December) are full... after Dec, wide open (soccer season will be over). RC Spirits

I need to know a month, maybe...

    A room, near a bar/grill? Stoney Inn?

    Randy: Yew Dawggg!!!

"Who's gonna mind the truck-stop and do the cookin'?"

Okay, if Randy's gonna be gone come January...sniff, sniff, sigh...name a date before-hand, and I'll make arrangements and show-up!!!!

He's my homie....I also want to express my deep affection for his beautiful, and sweet, and fabulous wife LINDA! who is my hermana and I want to make that perfectly clear!
BTW----I KNOW where Phoenix is. harumph! I thought you were just exploring. Come January, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO there!

Pete: ya gotsta come! We should high-jack Spaz and parcel-post him in for the shenannigans.

Let's get this organized and rollin'! Perhaps that place we played last spring? The Ramada or was that the year before? Or the year before that?

Annie, you're too sweet for words. Thanks.

The last NorCal Jam before m-n-m's was at the Stoney Inn. Before that, all the others were at the Ramada Inn at Fulton and Business 80.

I'll attend if we haven't moved by then, but it's more likely that the house will have sold and we'll be basking in the sun in Phoenix.

Yeah, photo, I've been giving some thought to whether or not to change my user name. I've been Sacblues for so long, everybody (who cares) knows me by that name and a new name would be a little weird.

I dunno. It's hot there. Maybe Sweatblues?

Hmmmm. "ScottBlues"? You'll be real close to Scottsdale.

    NixBlues, as in Pheonix.

I haven't jammed in Arizona yet and a direct flight to Pheonix is pretty cheap from here. Lets jam in both places.

There is a really nice little beer and wine bar in town here in auburn. I talked to the owner today and he said we could use the place. on a saturday afternoon. The agreement is we buy our beer and wine from his bar and don't bring in our own. but I think this is normal for a bar. If there are no objections, I will set it up for early Dec. Let me know what dates will not work and I will accomodate as many as possible.

December 6 or 13 would probably be the best, because a lot of people may have Christmas parties to attend on the 20th (the last Saturday before Christmas).

Mark, I appreciate your dedication to set this up before we move. Thanks!

Do you want to use your PA again, or should I bring mine?

I am working for Dec 6. around 1pm that afternoon. Tentatively, it will be at the Klub Kar (the bar formarly know as "The Smoke Shop") It is a beer/wine bar. It is a very nice place, I think all will enjoy. I am going to talk to the owner later today and firm up this date.

    Very cool, m-n-m!

Hey TB - amazingly enough, it looks like we may get to jam together after all; looking forward to hearing your globe-hopping chops!

Let us know your plans; I'd be happy to pick you up at the airport and bring you to the club. I'll have plenty of room, assuming m-n-m doesn't need me to bring my PA.

Cool Sacre'Bleu! One of the reasons I'm flying out is so I can jam with you and AnnieD. Two years ago I hopped on a plane to Oregon for a jam and then Florida. It's a lot of fun to get on a plane with a guitar and an overnight bag. People ask you if you're in a band and stuff. It's a lot of fun. As for my "globe-hopping chops", don't get your hopes up too high. I can play alright, but I guess my strong suit is being considerate of others during a jam/song. I have heard quite a bit about you chops too and really look forward to jamming with a harp player that "gets it". This will be a real pleasure I'm sure.
