    SPLASHY reverb

    Hello,

I'm new to this board. I am stoked that it exists.

I have played a few of the "newer" fender reverb type amps, but I am not really experienced with playing them or knowing of each different amplifier's individual character.

I am looking for that really really splashy reverb sound, ...heard in old instrumental surf classics....dick dale, surfaris, livey one's...all that stuff....

I would also like the amp to have tremolo on it...

I have played a couple fender reverb amps... can't remember which exactly...super reverb, twin, etc.

But, I haven't found that really core splashy reverb sound...

Is it only available on the "vintage" Fender verb amps?

Any enlightenment that anyone can give would be much appreciated.

    Thanks much, 66.

I agree. If you want the real wet and splashy reverb, the Fender stand-alone tube reverb is the way to go.

The Custom Vibrolux Reverb really does have a nice sounding reverb. It adds a lot of dimension without being too trashy sounding. Plus, that amp has a killer tremelo. You should give it a try, and crank the reverb all the way up to see if the reverb can get splashy enough for you.
