#1 Actually has SOME finish in these early rare SRV pics.

I think these were probably taken soon after SRV made the LH tremelo.

Dang, I had already seen those. Got anymore? I've got one more from the same show but I don't have a webpage to put it on.

I was fortunate to be able to play that guitar
through my amp at my home in austin once.
The tech at the time agreed to come by my house after the show and help me on a setup for a 58 i owned.
This was awhile back anyway he shows up and is nervous and
doesent want to sit down says i need to bring in some things
cant leave them out of my sight..i say sure well we go unload the car and there is at least 5 cases maybe 6 which were SRVS.
In my living room i said uh hey is that number one
pause yes uh can i see it please uh yes be very very carefull
ok uh i have to plug this in ok ok..i did through my marshall and played about 5 min the action was SKYHIGH you could have dropped a husky #3 pencil under the strings at the 12th
and the strings were like 12s kinda like phone lines...
Srv had played that so hard by downstroking rhythyms
that he had nearly worn through the back spring cavity
from the front ! it looked like you took a spoon and just dug it out.
the red one was there as well as the white one from charleys
and another one...scotch i think..I played only number 1 and the red one and not plugged in at that...he wanted to put those away and deal with the 58...here is where I learned to strobe a strat with a boss tuner and dress the nut.
Chance of a lifetime deal and highly unlikely only reason he stopped was the show was right down the street in austin and
he was a genuine great person to do it thanks Zach for all youve taught me...!
