You guys know more about everything. Maybe you can help. What is this?
Ok, this is what I do know. Double neck acoustic. Top side appears to be 9-string slide. Bottom, 6 string. Body has a second chamber; I assume was experimental to get more volume out of it.
Bridge probably broke or came out and was covered with this mother of Pearle "cover" for looks.
Body Bird-Eye Maple, except the top. Has been played a lot. Very thin frets and well worn, as well as area around pickguard.
Abalone inlays, multi piece necks, decent craftsmanship, great inlay work with metal as part of the inlay.
Only markings, E.P. on the headstock.
My guess on age: 1900-1930.
