    Fender AC courtesey outlet:

This Bandmaster I'm working on has some things in common with mine, one of them being that the AC plug on the back of the chassis is for a two-pronged cord. I'd like to replace it (& mine too, while I'm at it) w/a 3 prong version. Does anybody know where to find them? I'm striking out checking all my usual sources for amp parts.
    Thx

It's a 160-2-N receptacle. Last one I bought, I found on the bay, they must have gold plated internals!

Do any of the amp kits come with the 3 prong courtesy outlet? Probably not any of the "classic" kits. The one linked by Bill has only 1 in stock. There must be a source somewhere that has them at a reasonable cost, assuming someone is still using them for something, like a Variac perhaps?

I've looked before, my '79 Twin had the 2 prong wiring capped off, (it was an export model). I think I gave $20 for the last one I bought, and in the aftermarket chassis the receptacle is non existent, or usually a modern snap-in type.

Ya, I've looked around since my last post, and it doesn't appear that the kit amps include the courtesy outlet and the new Fenders don't include it either, so new old stock (or used) may be the only option. My 1977 Deluxe Reverb and 1976 Super Twin Reverb have the 3 prong outlet, but none of my older Fenders.

Thanks, Bill. Now that I have an actual part number I've been able to find a few. While not common, they can be found anywhere from $15 to $35.

Are the ones you've found all new old stock?

Some are used, I think one or two were still in their packaging

Heres one for $15. Not the same part number, but I'm cheap enough to buy it to see if I can make it work

I actually found a couple on eBay for $30. Better to just get the real deal
