    RIP Burt Bacharach

    Just saw that Burt Bacharach passed away. Talk about a song writer.

    Elevator companies will have to look elsewhere now for their canned music.

    Regardless, he put a lot of punch into the careers of many contemporary artists like Dionne Warwick.

    I love a lot of his songs. “This Guy’s In Love “ reminds me of the spring I spent during a six month stay in Normandy. Had a German girlfriend, the sun was shining, and the flowers were blooming. Was heaven after a winter of clouds, rain, and ice blowing in from the English Channel. I’ll always associate that song with a great time.

    His late work with Elvis Costello is worth a listen too.
