    RIP David Crosby, aged 81

Just came across this sad bit of news. He founded 2 major groups in the early days, which is quite a feat.

Well, sh!t. First it was Jeff Beck, now it's Crosby.

I never cared for his personality, but I learned an awful lot about playing guitar from his stuff. R. I. P.

His contribution to CS&N was some of his finest work.

I really dug his solo stuff over the last decade, especially Croz. His songs with CSNY are my favorites. Guinevere I have often listened to on repeat. Great songwriter. Cantankerous old bastard. A true artist. I’m grateful to have had his music as part of my life’s soundtrack.

It's been a rough week on the musician / celebrity death front.
    RIP, Croz.

It's getting to the point where I don't cry anymore.

A cantakerous guy (the neighborhood kids must have known to stay off his lawn), but gifted. I saw him a couple years ago in Northhampton, MA and he was amazing. My friend Jeff Pevar was playing guitar for him that night and the show was awesome, especially finding out, after the fact, that he was sick with the flu while performing. His voice was better than I'd heard in years. My buddy paid for "Meet and Greet" tickets and I have to say, he was a dick when we talked to him, but I'll give him points for doing it while feeling like crap. As Willie said, he was a major part of the soundtrack of my life.
