    Newest Partscaster

This isn't my first parts build. That honor goes to the Warmoth P Bass I built.
But this...wow...I'm impressed by the quality of the components. The neck is from AllParts and the body is from MJT. I think it's a b-stock body because the heel isn't cut square, but the neck still fits straight. Gotoh hardware and Fender pickups round it out. She plays and sounds great. Can't wait to start an 80s Super Strat.

Looks like all the parts are there and in the right places but that color does nothing for me. The military paints the interiors of their latrines (aka restrooms) that same shade of green and every time I see it I feel the urge to pinch a loaf.

    Nice build otherwise though.

I guess you were either conditioned to get regular when you see this color, or the military just bought the cheapest overstock paint.

Oddly, I never saw this color in latrines when I was in the AF.

    Cheers!

The final eight years of my USAF career were spent on an Army base.

What pickups did you choose for your partscaster?

I went with the Fender 57/62 set. They are nice and clean, and work well with my OCD/Tube Screamer setup.

Good choice for all-around "stratitude". For your next build (and I'm certain that there'll be one) you might consider Fender's Fat 50s set. They offer a little more mid-range growl and quack.
