    Real P. Bass or not?

    Hi Everyone!

I would like to hear your opinion about this guitar. The body and the pickguard has been sprayed black. Thank you for your time, Cheers!

According to the serial number lookup feature at Authorityguitar.com, your bass appears to date from between November 1978 to August 1981, and was made in Fullerton, CA. You can check the date codes on the potentiometers and perhaps the dates stamped on the back of the pickups, although Fender stopped that around 1979 from what I read.
