Fender Super Sonic 60 Combo Pre Amp Out Power Amp in

    Hi!
I have notice that some reverb noise and interference issues are canceled in the Fender Super Sonic 60 Combo by putting a volume pedal between pre amp out and power amp input. This tame the overall volume control too, and i can crank reverb all the way up without noise: the amp is quiet as a sleeping cat. Is there any issue doing that? Maybe risk of overheathing? Any volume pedal impedance suggestion?
    Thanks!

Connecting a volume pedal in such a manner presents no hazard to your amp.

Any passive pedal will work just fine.

My sleeping cats aren't so quiet.

If they snore it's possible they're suffering from sleep apnea -- you might take them to a veternarian and have him hook them up with some CPAP masks. Not too terribly expensive......probably less than two grand per kitty.
