but can you really clean a keyboard in the dishwasher? I'm assuming upside down on the top rack, presumably without dirty dishes. It's filthy and yesterday I managed to splash coffee on it, now it is over the top ugly nasty.

Wish I could buy one just like it but Apple doesn't seem to sell a wired keyboard anymore. I hate wireless keyboards, constantly having the damn keyboard trying to be found by the computer every time there's a power blip or the machine wakes up. Just want a basic white keyboard, don't need fancy back lighting.

Use a brush and just a little water and detergent. Brush it lightly, then dry it with some paper towel and repeat. Keep it upside down during the process and don’t spill water on it, just apply the wet brush.
