I had a korina Epiphone explorer in my hands at the old Belisle Music store in Manchester. I had gotten paid for house sitting and could have bought it, but then I'd have no money for gas or eats. I chose mobility and satiation over the explorer, sadly

These guys played the Explorer at some point: Edge, Skynyrd’s Allen Collins, John Entwistle, and Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen. So many others but these made me love the Explorer.

Ricky Medlocke (of Lynyrd Skynyrd) also plays an Explorer.

Ha , Also of Blackfoot. Great band.
That was Ricky’s band. He served as a hired gun for many others, especially in the Jax area.

Here’s another, though not much recorded Pete Willis
of Def Leppard. He was replaced by Phil Collen by the time the Lep was recording LPs vs EPs.
He must have been a small lad. Guitar was almost as large as him LOL.

And other that played that style. It was custom made and not a Gibby. Jeff Carlisi of 38 special.
now I just reminiscing about growing up in FL during the 70s and 80s. There was damn fine music all around me live.
