So I recently bought a white Am pro II strat from Thomann, and while it plays and sounds great I can’t help thinking it feels a little too heavy. What do you consider “normal” for a alder am pro II strat? Mine is 8.6 lbs (or 3.9 kg).

just pretend it's a Les Paul. 8.6# is a little porkey fora Strat but not horrible. My old ash Strat was a back-breaker.

I'm with OsA. It's a bit above average for a Strat, but I've run across ones that rival Les Pauls too - there's some 70s ones I saw that are over 10 pounds. Couldn't believe that for a Fender.
If you like how it plays and sounds, don't worry about it unless you have severe back issues. Maybe look into a wider strap to distribute the weight around.
