The CV50 60th Squier strat I got is in pieces ATM. I tried to get the strings out of the trem block but they were stuck in there like an Alabama chigger (quick, which movie referenced ? ) Long story short, had to disassemble entire bridge. Now I have the trem block all cleared out.

I do not want to have to do this every time. The string balls barely exited the block, only under extreme duress. This really didn't feel quite right. Is there something I can do to the trem block to make it easier to change strings or should I consider changing i.e. upgrading to a better block as long as I have it all apart?

Supposedly vintage specs, would a Callaham block work?

*edit* crap, their website is not responding. Are they still in business?
