    Elvis Presley’s 56 album: gear?

Does anybody know what guitars were used in that record?

Which one? Elvis? or Elvis Presley?
In either case, Elvis stuck with acoustic guitar - Usually Martin D-28, with or without a leather cover.
Scotty had the all gold ES 295, though I think he had traded that one for an L-5 by then.
He also used an amp with built-in delay.
I read Scotty's autobiography last winter - my brother-in-law is a big Elvis fan and lent it to me. It was really interesting how he described coming up with E, though I didn't realize just how badly the Colonel screwed him, Bill Black and DJ Fontana. Elvis originally wanted everything split the 4 ways, but Parker changed it up that it was Elvis, and a few hired guns. Of course, Parker ended up with more money than Elvis, even, the freakin' crook.

"Do you call sleeping with a guitar in your hands practicing?"
"It is if you don't drop it."
    - Trent Lane, Daria, Episode 1-2.

    I meant Elvis.

    I’ll look up that bio!
