The Everly's are now re-united, Phil having passed in 2014.

    Tragic but not unexpected.

RIP, gentlemen. You won't be forgotten.

    Without Don and Phil,

No Simon and Garfunkel as we knew them. Don & Phil's phrasings and line arrangements are clear in "Tom & Jerry's" harmonies.

(At points here and there, both Paul Simon and Paul McCartney are pictured playing Gibson Everly Brothers acoustics. Black, star inlays. I want one....).

No Fab Four as we knew them. The Beatles' vocals and harmonies wouldn't have developed as they did, and if you don't think that's important, consider how many bands after The Beatles have relied on those types of vocal arrangements. John and Paul acknowledged their debt to the Everlys

I am not only sad that we've lost another great. I'm sad that their music is not well known anymore. Folks my age and older are now history to the young.
