You can save 3 of your stringed instruments. Which 3 are you going to save?


1. Ric 4001
2. Martin HD28v
3. Les Paul

Strangely, I wouldn't save Fenders in those 3. I play my Fenders more than any of the others, and part of it's sentimentalism: the Ric and Martin have been with me for decades. The LP is one of the best sounding I've heard.

If it were a matter of which guitars I like to play most:

1. Partscaster black Strat
2. All AmPro parts Jazz
3. the Martin again

The three I’d hang onto would be:
1. 55-94 Lakland
2. ‘65 Fender Precision (purchased new)
3. ‘59 Gibson ES345

1. 1957 Gibson ES-225. Mostly for sentimental reasons.
2. 2016 Fender Custom Shop Robin Trower Artist Series. Ditto.
3. Taylor GS Mini-e Koa.

I can build bolt neck guitars and basses. I can not build set neck guitars. I don't play acoustics hardly at all.

It’d be my only 3 electrics. The acoustic could become firewood and I wouldn’t care.

Now, if we were talking about what minimum rig would I keep if you had to get rid of everything else, it’d be:

My black strat

15 watt single channel tube amp (Blues Jr tweed)

Fulltone Octafuzz

If I couldn’t rock with that, all the other stuff would be a waste of money in my hands.
