Got my '53 pickups back from Fralins...

Man, those guys hit a home run!
I was terrified that they'd come back sounding like off-the-shelf new pickups, but he really captured that vintage magic-
They have that open, hollow sound, loads of air, like my '55 strat-
    character for days!
He reused all the original materials, except for the solder joints you can't tell by looking that they were ever tampered with-
I got a great deal on the guitar partially because the pickups were very weak- it was a gamble, the wood's so good I was prayin' that the pickups would come back to life like the axe deserves, and thanks to Lindy, they did!

That is so great! It's always a little un-nerving when tampering with old stuff. Glad to hear it worked out so well.

A friend had Lindy rewind some 52 Tele pickups and they also came out perfect. 6.02k ohms on the bridge.

    Soundfiles

I posted some soundfiles in the pickup area here-
'53 tele directly into a blackface deluxe reverb.

I sent in a neck bass PU for a 66 Jazz Bass. He meatched the other PU and it sounded spectacular. Lindy has the touch!
