    Gratuitous Guitar nudity

It was Friday night, I went downtown, came back early. Surfing, I saw a picture of Thin Lizzy on stage, with the cherry LP sans pickguard. I looked at my Deluxe, found a screwdriver and unveiled it.

This morning, I walked into my office, saw what I had done. So I took some pictures :)

I think somewhere in the myriad packing boxes is a carton of crayons. I'm thinking of trying to put some wax in the screw hole by the fingerboard.

    |Very cool. |Do you have any pics with it on, to compare side-by-side?
I did that on my Heritage H150 - and my LP Std didn't come with it on from the factory, so I never installed it.
Personally, I think that bursts look better without the PG, but solid colors look betteer with it on.

That's sweet, Dan! I love that guitar no matter how you've got it dressed. I'll bet it sounds excellente.

A couple of guys I know just installed a short #4 pickguard screw into the hole then painted the screw head with some matching red lipstick. Seems like it worked hokay and the mod is totally reversible.

lipstick or nail polish? I thought about taking the pickguard screw and putting a dab of nail polish on it. Think it would be too long for the hole?

My bad, I meant nail polish.
