Downloading updates on the Mustang GTX50?

A few weeks ago I purchased a Mustang GTX50 amp. Love the amp, but for whatever reason it won't download a software update. I'm connected to Wifi, and follow the procedure of holding down the button while turning on the amp. Shortly after a message "Searching for updates . . . ," appears then, " Downloading updates . . . " But nothing happens. I let the amp sit for a few hours and still it reads "Downloading updates . . . " Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is there an issue with the amp? WiFi connection was confirmed. Thank you for your help.

all I can offer is the standard help desk directive "shut it off and power it up again." Hopefully somebody with actual experience will chime in. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks Dan. I tried that a few times, but still the same situation. Hopefully someone will come up with a solution.

    Welcome to the forum.

I have no experience with these modern amps but did some research. There are some steps to be taken, this video shows them:

Try following it and let us know how it goes!

Thanks, it did help. After checking, the amp had the latest update, but then why, I wonder, did the display show that it was downloading? The main thing is that it's updated. Perhaps when a further update is available, it will properly go through the process. Thanks again.

Shoes! Are you kidding. It was 117 degrees outside and I'm barely keeping the house at 80. Sandals when going out. Shoes go back on in the fall. HAHAHAHA!!

In the city and subs, there's not too much to worry about, but if you venture into non built up areas, you better wear shoes or hiking boots. It's not only scorpions one has to be concerned about, but rattlers as well. My cousin, who is playing bass in my avatar, gets a few scorpions in the house which makes getting up during the night to pee a bit worrisome. So many newcomers and winter visitors don't exercise caution. You see some of them walking along desert trails wearing sandals and even flip-flops . Obvious areas where scorpions and rattlers can be found.

Being Brazilian I wear flops all the time at home and by the beach but never in the country or wherever there’s vegetation. We have as many rattlesnakes, black widows and other not very cute little beasts as Arizona or some parts of Australia.

Having been raised near farms and shooting ranges, I always wear cowboy boots or rugged high top trail boots when I’m outside the city. I do some trekking from tine to time and always have goosebumps when I see people wearing trainers.

My brother lived in the greater Phoenix area (the blob that ate Arizona) and one point I was out there playing golf, I pretty much ran into a looney tunes cartoon - roadrunners, a coyote off in the wilds, snakes, a scorpion, and other things I couldn't quiite identify. That scorpion got to keep that ball...

wonder how do you score that on your golf card? Is there a hazards category?

Phenomena such as that qualifies the shot as a "mulligan".

If I was anywhere near a handicap rating, I might worry about it. As it is, I dropped about 20 feet away. I tried to retrieve that ball, but even at driver legnth, when that thing raised it's tail, I wasn't going to try.

Good leather boots are your best bet, for sure. There are days on our trails when it's bumper to bumper people, so to speak. I long for the days when you went out into the desert, or driving along back roads, when you would rarely meet up with anyone, and that wasn't too long ago. The population has grown leaps and bounds over the last few decades. Roads and trails now are at times packed, especially when we get flooded with winter visitors.
