    Any Ry Cooder fans?

    My favorite Cooder song:

Which albums do you like best?

Bop till you drop. Mostly covers of R&B songs. Recognized as the first commercial album recorded digitally on a 32 track machine made by 3M, and then released on vinyl in 1979.

Ry Cooder also produced some great albums that he didn't play on, perhaps the most notable being The Buena Vista Social Club featuring some of the best pre Castro Cuban musicians.

    JMO, FWIW. Worth nothing.

One of the greatest music documentaries I've ever seen. Great indeed.

Btw if you liked it, I strongly recommend you watch this one:

    Thanks, Sergio.

Found the trailer on YouTube, the whole thing on Amazon Prime.

    Very interesting.

I think I became aware of Ry when Get Rhythm came out. At the same time one of my profs used to refer to him often. He even named his kid Ryland! But I got more familiar with home through Buena Vista Social Club. That disc gets spun at lot in our house.

Still have my copy of Boomer's Story I bought in '72.
