Modified with ‘51 NoCaster Fender Custom Shop Pickups

Would these be better than stock pickups or does it depend on subjective tastes?

Everything about taste is subjective......which amp, which tubes, which speakers, what guitar, what strings, what pick, how you part your hair, which toothpaste, boxers or briefs......

Don't listen to me, don't listen to anybody. Just make your own choices and let the others be damned. You'll eventually find your own way, trust me.

I had the Nocasters on mine, and I liked them when it was just me alone puttering around, but then a friend brought his Performer around. It sounded so much nicer. I got rid of the Nocasters for pickups that please me and add depth and richness to the sound. Somebody else might coax better sounds from the Nocasters than I did.
