    Happy Merry New Years boys!

I did a little video today - party tune for a party night!

I'm not what you'd call a fan of the disco, but there's something about this tune that gets me going as a bassist. If not for the disco back beat, this could be a soul tune! Just learned the song last night and laid down the tracks today.

Still working on some of the more finicky FCPX functions, but getting there. Also not sure what's going to happen to this copyright-wise on YouTube. Guess we'll see in due time

*** stand by (just realized the audio is clipping - going to have to back and fix that) FIXED!

Happy New Year, all youz guyz.

Well, dirtdog, I've got a whole new 'ppreciation of Disco Inferno. I really enjoyed it. Can we do a duet of Disco Duck?

    Thanks boys!

After posting this, we had a great Zoom call with friends down in the US and then cocktails around the fire in our neighbours back yard (socially distanced of course). Been fairly mild here (above 0C at least) so amenable to having a few shots of bourbon while sitting around the fire. Back to rancho relaxo right now and winding down to midnight. Cheers to all!

Never heard of that one - sounds like some Zappa influence in there...Or Cheech and Chong’s “Earache my Eye”. Gritty and funky. I like it!

    Happy New Year!

FWIW, I don't think any excuse is necessary for songs with a great bass line, regardless of some "category" they fall into.
A great bass line is a great bass line.

I agree 100%. Even though I'm not a bass player (the fact that I own a few and noodle away at them from time to time does NOT make me a bass player!). I do like Mark's approach to bass at talkingbass.com.

    It's ... alive,

barely. Sentience is returning, qubit by qubit. My brother and I ate some chicken pizza NYE, tasted ok but it's not my favorite to begin with.

Had a few drinks at my fave pub, home by 12:30

Around 4, well, I'll spare the details. I was in bed a good 20 plus hours of 1-1-21

On the plus side, I lost 5 pounds

drinking coffee, surfing, apologizing to my cat for ignoring him for a whole day. Actually I don't think he left my room, he was probably worried about how he was going to break in a new human to feed him.
