    Just out of curiosity

Do you add butter to your coffee?

I've seen people do that before that "bulletproof coffee" fad, but I have no idea where that habit comes from. Some folks butter the coffee and add cream, others just use butter.

Tastes good actually but definitely not an everyday thing.

    Salted or unsalted?

Seriously, I have never tried butter in coffee, but when I was on a low carb diet, Coffee with heavy whipping cream and a sweetener like Splenda made a decent desert.

These days I drink my coffee black, no cream, no sugar.

    Nope.

I used to drink coffee black, but as I've gotten older, my stomach likes it lighter and sweeter.

Jack Carr's hero, James Reese, a former Navy SEAL, likes honey in his coffee. I've never heard of that. I've also heard of coconut/mct oil in coffee.

    I'm not that adventurous.

never tried butter in my coffee. Last time I put honey in my coffee was when I had some infused honey. I really liked it but holy crap, honey is so damn messy when you're trying to spoon it out of a jar as opposed to pouring it out a bottle. It was a packaging issue, really.

so I prefer my coffee black, although before I lost my sense of smell I brewed it with real Vietnamese cinnamon in the basket with the grinds. Not doing that until I get my sense of smell back.

Neither my wife nor I drink coffee, but I have never heard of anyone adding butter to coffee.

It's an old habit in some places that allegedly came from the very first coffee preparations ever. In France some people call it Café Gros, and lately there has been a fad called bulletproof coffee.

I've heard "bulletproof coffee" is the addition of coconut/MCT oil.

Funny thing is, it doesn't really taste much different than coffee with cream. Only with a slight coconut aftertaste
