Paul Mc's 54 Tele and Interesting Gits in His Collection

It's rare to see pics of McCartney's gear other than his touring gear or the old standbys, Hofner, Casino, Ric, D-28, a couple of Les Pauls.

What interests me here is first the Gibson 335? Are those P90s? He's always made a big deal out of using the Casino equipped with them--and why shouldn't he considering that some of those leads play through our heads like Camptown Races or some other standard. I don't blame him for playing a Gibson. Love that Everly Bros acoustic: wish I had one. And the L5? Can you imagine how much that thing is worth? Even if it's a new CS jobbie, it's still an amazing looking guitar. I haven't been able to find anything on the web about this pic and the guitars--except that the Tele was a gift from wife Nancy.

I'm as excited about seeing lefty models of these as I am about seeing McCartney with guitars so diff from his go to-s.

I've read suspicions that it's a CS Tele. But it's not beyond the realm of possibility that his wife, extremely wealthy on her own, paid for one kept in the case under a bed.
