    Bass Lessons or Ulterior Motive?

First, except for one girlfriend, no woman has ever asked me to teach her how to play an instrument.

I've been visiting or chatting in a friendly way but not every day or every 5th day, but she's really cool, and we have a few some good laughs. Got on great. I've got a bit of a thing for her, and I've flirted with her in a gentlemanly way. (Lord Willie Northcutt)

I am not a Romeo though I think I'm Don Juan (let me lie to myself on this one guys). Out of the blue last night, she messaged me and asked me if I'd teach her how to play the bass.

    1. I'm going to take her at her word that this is about bass lessons.
    2. It will be fun even if we just turn out to be good buds.
    3. If it is a mutual thing, then hey, nice.
    4. She's a lefty too! So she'll be able to play my gear. I think the Hofner would be right for her, but she might surprise me and go for the 24 fret Epi. Ha ha ha. I hope she does. She's not short short, but she's not a big person either. It'd be fun to see her pick up a bass almost as tall as her.

I'm excited about it just because I love teaching folks things, even though I'm no virtuoso.
If we'd known we were going to be the Beatles, we'd have tried harder.--George Harrison

Sounds great, Willie! It's been my experience, limited as it may be, that the best relationships occur when one is least trying.
