With a little help from my friends....

    Hi everyone,

I am delving into my first telecaster and I found a well priced model online that caught my eye but I can’t find any details of the model anywhere and as you guys are telecaster experts I thought I would get some advice. I’m worried that I’ll end up with a parts caster and not an actual tele.

i don’t normally buy solid bodies and always gone with a hollow or semi (Coronado 2, casino, Rick 330, 335 etc). I’ve always fancied a tele but now the time seems good to get one.

i was originally going to pick up a new Fender MIM Player but it’s seems that for very little more I can get the 2nd hand USA Special

one that seemed a good price was a FSR 60th anniversary Thomann Special however I can’t find any details on line of this model and doesn’t have a hard case. It has no indication that this is a 60th anniversary model.

does anyone know if this is a model that was realised?

    thanks again for your help

Have you tried contacting Thomann? They'd be more likely to have the info you want. Or have you already tried that?

Well, as I understand the concept of FSR (Fender Special Release), if it's a Thomann Special, then only Thomann would carry it. If it's used, anyone could make the claim, but I wonder, why would they? @ch willie has the best advice, if you ask me.
