    Help Identifying Blackface Model

Hey everyone. Looking for some help here. I picked up this amplifier. I can’t seem to find what model it is. What’s throwing me off is that it’s 70W and doesn’t have a master volume knob. It likely has been taken out of a combo amp and remounted in this head. Can anyone exact match this with a model? The model name has been removed. Thanks so much for any help.

I know very little, but a 4 knob normal channel makes me think its some kind of Twin

1979-80 ultra linear super, pro, or bandmaster reverb. 2 ohm minimum impedance, most likely a super.
Master volume pull switch and line out removed. If you were to remove the chassis from the cabinet, you would probably find a hole for the master volume punched in the chassis, covered up by the face plate.

I was going to say either a super reverb or a rehoused bandmaster reverb head.

does it work? how does it sound? Can you post gut shots?

The backplate clearly says "Fender Musical Instruments Company. CBS Musical Instruments..." plus I only see two power tubes and no rectifier tube.

The front faceplate is definitely aftermarket and may be hiding the Master Volume spot which may have been removed.

I'm leaning towards a type of late 70s Silverface Pro or Super Reverb that's been converted to a head. Gut shots would help!

    *edit: I didn't see Vinyl's reply.

It's a very nice head cabinet. My main concern would be adequate ventilation for a 70 watt tube amplifier. That's just me.

I cant believeI missed the pair (not quad) of power tubes, hence, not a Twin
