I have a CP Jag HH. I sometimes accidentally hit the PUP selector switches down into the "off" position when I get too carried away during vigorous strumming. It never seems to work in reverse; i.e., I don't ever seem to accidentally hit the PUP switches into the "on" position during vigorous upstrokes.

Therefore, my question is, can these switched be flipped around so that down is "on"?

Also, if I am going to go through the effort of removing the switchplate and messing with the switches, would there be any benefit in replacing the existing switches altogether; i.e., are the Vintage Reissue and American Pro Series Jag/Jazz switches of higher quality than the Mexican CP Player Series switches?
