    Paul McTelecaster

Wonder what model he's got in this pic?

I think it's a 1954 lefty that his wife found for him.

    Re: Paul McTelecaster

I did a quick web search, and that's the gift from her. I thought I was seeing gloss on the headstock and thought it might be a custom shop deal. That guitar looks like it's in great shape.

He used to record with a flipped righty Esquire and some monstrosity of a Tele that looked like it had the upper "horn" wood chopped off. Around the McCartney album, he got a sunburst lefty Tele, and he was still recording with it up through the Press to Play album. On band on the run, he played Denny Laine's semi-hollow Tele upside down when Denny wasn't using it. But I've never seen him bring it or any other Fender electric guitar out during a live set. He doesn't want to do the Strat because it's so associated with Hendrix, fellow lefty. He favors his Casino and Les Pauls.
