Around here, we call 'em the "dog days" of summer. It's August -- the hurricane season is upon us, the cicadas have come out, thunderstorms and flash-flooding (or at least warnings) are the norm, and everything is as it should be. No real plans today; I'm working on two new old songs, Allen Toussaint's "On Your Way Down" (as performed by Little Feat) and Michael Nesmith's "Roll With the Flow." Mostly acoustic stuff, but I have my Ibby handy -- and I'm really falling in love with that guitar! -- when I want to jack it up a bit.
I hope everyone has a calm, happy Sunday!
