    Fender Frontman 212R broken.

    Hello people...

    Today i received a broken Frontman 212R.

The Owner broke off the Reverb Pot and replaced it. After that it stoped working.
It makes a loud humming noise and 2 resistors (R109 and R112) inside the amp are getting seriously hot.

I didnt check the solder connection of the reverb pot until now and i think that cant cause this problem.

Do you have any idea whre to start?

Do you guys kno if the Transistors have been mounted with mica disks?

The next few days ill try to compare the amp to the schematic. Wish me luck guys

Found the fault, the Last Stage of the poweramp is shorted.
Need new Transistors but they are no longer available.

But there are compatible Transistors available.

Hey, glad you got it figured out.

I'd forgotten about the Frontman line.
