On another forum the name Harley Benton comes up frequently, usually accompanied by glowing comments about the quality of their instruments as well as the price. However, I rarely see any mention of them here. Is that because they are mostly available through Europe's largest music dealer, Thomann? I know they are made in China and Indonesia, which accounts for some of the price, but a lot of the folks posting about them say they were awesome right out of the box, and needed no setup, pickup swap, etc.

I have to admit, some of them are pretty nice looking. Even with the shipping charges, this Telecaster is cheaper than a Squier CV...
