    HMMMMMMMM

I just bought a used Frontman 65R. When I turn it on, it is quiet as a mouse, as soon as I plug a cable into it, even with no guitar plugged in, I get the obnoxious 60 cycle hum. I thought I bought a pretty good cable, but maybe not. So I tried a different cable, same thing.

    Any thoughts?

Could be a defective input jack or a bad electrolytic cap in the power supply.

60 cycle? Or 120 cycle? That would be where I would start.

    There's a big difference.
