Fender Deluxe Reverb chrome push in glider question

    Hi guys!
New here. Thanks for adding me. I have a question about the chrome gliders/feet on the Fender deluxe reverb 68’ reissues. I recently bought used and one is missing making the amp sit unevenly. I found the parts so that’s not a problem

My question is: since they need to be tacked on with a mallet of some sort is it safe to install the new one or will the hits to the amp cabinet mess up the tubes/electronics inside? Just don’t want to mess it up because otherwise it’s in great shape and sounds nice.

Please let me know and if you have any tips on how to do this the best and safest way please comment. Thanks!

If you install the replacement using the hole left over from the AWOL glide, you shouldn't have to tap too hard with a mallet. If tube safety is a concern, remove them prior to the repair.

I refurbed a BJ a while back that had those tacked on "glides". I replaced them with the screw on type.
