Bryan MacLean - What Guitar(s) Did He Play?

OK, this is way off the wall, and a long shot to boot.

One of my favorite bands of the 60s/70s was Love, fronted by Arthur Lee. The band had three guitar players: Lee, Johnny Echols and MacLean. MacLean wrote one of the band's iconic songs, "Alone Again Or," (which I've added to my own repertoire lately). On some of Love's songs, there is what I believe the "Ric jangle," yet I can find no source for what type of guitar he played. Photos always seem to be inconclusive (see example). You Ric guys, is this a Ric?

Another photo, still not conclusive (to me, anyway).

I don't think that's a Ric. Looks more "Gibsonish" to me. Epiphone perhaps?

The headstock in that live photo could seem to look like a Ric headstock. But if you look more closely, you see the Gibson stock head outline.
