Revolving door at Don's house (NGD)!

I sold the Carvin DC135 on Saturday. The guitar just didn't suit me. Then, last night, I bought a 1980 Hamer Sunburst! I've wanted one of these since I was a teen and they were unobtanium! The price was right. It's in great shape. It appears to be all original except one strap button and the case. Everything works like it should and it sounds great!

I love those guitars, played one many years ago and they are probably my favorite non-Fender non-Gibson I've encountered yet. That's a gorgeous one, too. They are fairly scarce, to put it mildly.

This is a surprisingly odd guitar! The out of phase pickups is a cool thing. I've had it on guitars before and know how to use it and like it.

The string spacing is narrow- just over 1-5/8" at the nut like a Fender, but only 50mm (just under 2") at the bridge! That's tight! I don't have large hands and am struggling a bit. We'll see how I adapt. It makes my wonder how guys with huge hands play guitar at all.

I love the finish- not only does it look good, but it's very old feeling thing nitro with slight checking on the neck and sides and it has very slightly sunken into the finish.
