We’re almost there...
I'm not sure I like being reminded I'm getting old. But congratulations to TLPF, and to TFF!
I've been here since day 1 (or 2). It's been a long haul!
Wow, I’ve been a member over there for fifteen years. I joined because of owning a vintage ES 345 Gibson, and a member here for sixteen years.

I joined here in December 2014, just after I bought my beloved black strat. It was near Christmas time, and this forum always brings me VERY pleasant memories...
Took this picture the day I joined here.
Love the pic, Sergio.
I'm a newby to TFF--I've only been here since 2008.
I probably joined the LPF a couple of years earlier.

I'm Jimmy Carl Black, the indian of the group. Oops, wrong reference...
But I'm the junior guy here. Only three years.
I joined the Les Paul Forum in December 2001. It was a pretty wild place back then!
I joined 8-31-2002 according to my profile, which makes sense. I had bought the Offset that summer, found a Marshall forum to learn more, heard about the Les Paul Forum, around the same time I had bought an Ibanez LP copy just like the one I used to have back in '76 after not having any dual humbucker guitar since 1989. Then I bought an LP DC in Sienna burst, then an LP 1960 Classic and the floodgates were opened. I've owned 20 Historics over the last 18 years. I think at one point I had 6 at the same time. Wild gear slutting days those were. I'll never see the likes of them again probably.
"Live and learn and flip the burns"
ah, yeah, about that ... er, not exactly. It was rather factious and there was an astounding amount of drama and histrionics. After a while I got tired of the petty bickering and stayed away for a bunch of years. Don't get me wrong, I love Les Paul guitars but I got a little tired of the constant obsessing over minute details. Things are a little different there now but I'm kind of over it, I visit a couple times a month if that.
"Live and learn and flip the burns"
I joined both in 2003. Got banned here for a while, but it's been home for a while.

I've been in both since 2003 also. "Tweedscape" before that.
Those were some fun-ass times. Camaraderie, Jams, Legal Defense Funds for one of the Buckets, POSTS IN ALL CAPS BY BLUELOU, we pretty much did it all back then. It was a heck of an online community. I've made some great lifelong friends here.
Things change, like the man said the stone age didn't end because we ran out of stones. Something better came along but man, if you could have seen this place back in it's heyday. It was pretty awesome. We'd all run home from work and jump on and it was almost a chat session as we posted back and forth for hours. Sure, inevitably from time to someone's nose got put out of joint but for the most part is was hilarious.

Congratulations to us all.
I have decided to be happy because it's good for my health.
Even when I joined in 2008, there was tension of the forum here and there. But for the most part, people were cool and verrrry helpful, very supportive--much like the core/corps of us still. I've stuck with it because of the great folks here. Everybody but Sergio, who thinks American Standard Stratocasters are decent guitars. Sheesh. haha.

Offshore Angler hosted some pretty awesome jams - even driving us all to House of Guitars in this tricked -out motor home.
Good times with good friends....

Sometimes I wonder why we don’t just make it funny and great again. All we need to do is talk more and it all starts.
Btw speaking of Bluelou, there was also this female member, Annie D. IIRC, her posts seemed very humorous too.
