I was reading a thread on another board about an article that says that people ought to stop clapping their hands because it might annoy people with some disadvantages like autism.
Of course the PC team loved the thread and there was a natural reaction by those who think there are more important things mankind should be worried about.
The other day it was a thread a dude opened to post a cover video he did of a 90s grunge song with what we’d call explicit lyrics. Some replies really made me laugh and remember that I play Stones songs live all the time...
Sincerely, even guitar forums are beginning to get too full of whiny PC posts.
See, I’m not a bad man. On the contrary, I try to be as nice as I canto every person or animal that crosses my path. But come on...
Back when I was a kid, like 40 years ago, we were raised and taught to be good people, respect everyone regardless of their particularities and help anyone that needed, without changing the God damned way we clap our hands, whistle, dress, style our hair, chew gum or whatever, because some minority might get upset.
That’s about all it takes to keep every society in balance and peace, I think.
