just got done playing and checking out my work. MJT lake placid blue body, pickguard by 920D with Lace Sensor Gold, not sure what the bridge/trem block are, pure vintage trem claw and springs and my latest acquisition, a 2018 Made in China Squire CV50 strat neck.
just set the relief. now to check the string height and double check the bridge plate height.
I polished the frets with 120 to 8000 grit fret erasers. first time using those and the Stew Mac tapes and dispenser. Made the job several orders of magnitude easier.
I've been a fan of these Squire necks, maybe they aren't nitro coated like the custom shop stuff but then I'm not paying almost a grand for them either.
The rosewood neck that was on there got a pretty good case of fret sprout. I need to get my work bench set up and get a vise clamp. I have about 4 more rosewood necks waiting for filing, too. I wanted to play this guitar now so I went with maple.
looks pretty dang good with the new neck
