    lol

I had a Strat Plus, '88/'89. Roller nut. Total bitch to change strings. A couple years after I got it, a sitar like buzz developed on the 2nd string. I tried adjusting the action, even futzing with the micro tilt thang. Absolutely no effect whatsoever on the nuisance noise.

Turns out you need to lubricate the damn things, even though they tell you not to.

That guitar also taught me to hate locking tuners, too. Seriously, you just don't need them.

I had an '88 Strat Plus that I bought new. It had the first version of the roller nut that only had the second set of rollers covering the G, B and high E. The wound strings had a sitar effect that went away when I installed the revised roller nut that had a second set of rollers that covered all 6 strings.
It was a nice sounding and playing guitar, but I grew tired of the bland sound of the gold Lace Sensors and sold it to buy a Strat with regular pickups and no other fancy tech.

I'd wanted a roller nut, bought one thinking they'd be installable on a lefty. Nope. Wound up giving it away.

I don't use the whammy as much as I used to, but even when I do, my Strat stays in tune--as long as I have wound the strings properly.
