what was weird is that I had just yesterday morning wondered if he was still alive. I did it. I killed him.
he had been quiet for a while, I wondered if he had gotten dementia or alzhiemers. I seem to be seeing that more or at least I'm aware of it now that my mom has it.

I remember reading a year or so ago that he was ailing. I even think they mentioned cancer at the time.
The word "laconic" comes to mind when I think of his acting style. Truth be told, I never thought he was as good as his dad. Ulee's Gold was an absolute snoozer as far as I was concerned. His other roles were pretty much formulaic, and it seemed at times he was mailing it in.
Still, he was Captain America to a great number of people of my generation. R. I. P.
All I have to say is: I lost one of my heroes.
