"...pray do not imagine that those who make the noise are the only inhabitants of the field;
that, of course, they are many in number; or that, after all, they are other than the little,
shriveled, meagre, hopping, though loud and troublesome, insects of the hour."

he makes sense-- provides insight and makes me laugh -- ROCK ON R.B.!
The only time you really live fully is from thirty to sixty. The young are slaves to dreams; the old servants of regrets. Only the middle-aged have all their five senses in the keeping of their wits.

It's a YouTube channel...good stuff. Seriously...look through all his videos. So much music theory.

I like it though I've only seen a few vids. I have a hard time sitting in front of my computer watching videos, even good ones, yet I'll sit in front of a TV watching rubbish way too long. Old habits?
I'm like you, Don. Which is a shame, since there are tons of very good, informative videos online. It's almost like I have ADHD when it comes to instructional videos.
The worst part of it is that I'm one of the "influencers" at my employer trying to get online training in place!
I'm subscribed to his channel. I like his line of thinking on a lot of stuff. I like when he deconstructs songs. I wonder where he gets the stems from. though?
I hadn't come across that yet, but I'll certainly check it out
He's got such a wide breadth of knowledge, from production to guitar playing. His son having perfect pitch was almost scary to watch. My only complaint is the ransom note style jump editing he employs to cut out (presumably fluffs and boring stuff). But that's pretty minor in the scope of things, and surprisingly common to YouTubers.
It's the only YouTube channel that I subscribe to.
I've watched a dozen or so of the "What Makes This Song Great" videos, and they've all been excellent.
