The "Is It Spring, Yet" Sunday Thread For FEb. 17

Two days ago the sun was out and the temperature was near 70°. Today, it's gonna be raining with a chance of sleet, with a high of around 40°. Old Man Winter is fighting for his life! We all know Spring is around the corner, but on what day will we be able to finally put away our gloves and scarves?

Yesterday was a rest day for me, after having spent the week getting up early, taking the bus downtown and teaching a software training class. I enjoy the job, but it can be tiring after a full week. The only activity I did yesterday was a three mile walk. Today won't be much different, but the weather may keep me indoors.

The good news is that I'm making up for lost practice time! I've been playing my G&L Tribute Legacy Strat a lot (mixed in with grabbing my ever-present KLŌS acoustic). I've gotten to the point where I now can actually tell I've made improvement! More of that today.

Stay well, everyone. Enjoy the day, whatever it's like.

We've got another day like yesterday, in the 20° F range, party cloudy and (hopefully) no snow.

We took a couple weeks off from our Thursday evening jam session due to winter storms and -20° temps so it felt good to strap the Lakland on and play out some good blues this past week.

Sunday will be spent with good friends having good times.

Still friggin' cold and still a few feet of snow on the ground. But bright and sunny for a change! Long way until spring for us.

I'm holed up in the man cave this weekend working on writing some music. Got a Royal Blood thing going on right now and am working on the advanced arrangement tools in Logic Pro X. Pretty cool stuff.

Haven't gotten out for a jam/rehearsal/gig in four weeks now - after a busy January. Hopefully will get out with the lads this week some time.

    Holiday Monday for us tomorrow...

I woke up with what I figure must've been a migraine yesterday. I don't have a history of them, so I'm not sure. I had an excruciating headache, got up and vomited (that sucked! I hadn't thrown up in years!) and went back to bed until about 3:30pm! Not only did I need the room to be dark, I wore blinders. That was comforting.
When I woke up I still couldn't focus on things like a book or computer, or even TV shows with a lot of action.

To top it all off, my wife went to get me a burger (I felt a strong desire for meat) with only mustard, ketchup and pickles on it. She came home with one that also had lettuce, onions, tomato (which I actually like, but didn't want) and mayonnaise (which I despise) on it! She even looked at it before leaving the place to make sure it was correct! WTF?!?!

I went back to bed at about 10pm, got up at about 7:30am and feel fine today.

Our guitarist is a big pussy. I rushed the 2.5 hours back home to get ready for practice. He cancelled because he was tired. Not the first time he's done this. So the practice I was hoping would re-strengthen me didn't happen. I swear I ought to just go solo.
