    Naïve question but...

Did they have wireless stuff back in ‘64?! Or did they sing over playback instrumentals?

I saw thin shielded cables exiting out from under the back of their coats to the rear.

And no, I never saw a wireless rig in those days. And I was playing in those days too. Thanks, now I feel really old...
I forgot what I was going to say...

Damn, good eye! Now I see the cables! Now I wonder how they arranged the cables behind them

They did mimed performances on TV, but they never mimed in concert.

They didn't have to. They honed their chops playing the Cavern Club in Hamburg. Not the swankiest of gigs.

It wasn’t their wish to mime on those shows but was for example the way that shows operated on the BBC.

There was a Cavern Club in Hamburg?

Sorry, mixing my venues. The Cavern Club was (is?) in Liverpool. They played a number of very skeevy clubs in Hamburg. All to reinforce the point they paid their live-performing dues.

Yeah, it’s in Liverpool. Still exists, Paul played there last year

It’s not the original Cavern Club. The original has been razed. They built this one only a couple of decades ago b

I got a souvenir from the club too. A handful of years ago an ex-girlfriend spent some time in England and visited Liverpool. She went to the CC and brought me the shot glass and the pick. It was nice when we met again and she gave them to me...
